Whether we go away on business or a planned family holiday, it just doesn’t feel right to say goodbye to our pets. That’s why we absolutely love pet-friendly hotels that treat our pets the same way they treat all of their guests. We’ve put together a list of the top pet-friendly hotels in Austin that you can use when planning your next trip.

Not all Austin pet-friendly hotels are created equal. We took into account things like formal pet policies, pet fees, pet amenities, and nearby parks. We’re starting with the very best, so read on for our top 5 pet-friendly hotels in Austin, Texas.

Kimpton Van Zandt

605 Davis St, Austin, TX 78701 // 512-542-5300

Let’s start with the very best. The Kimpton Van Zandt Hotel is the only boutique hotel we’ve seen that has a dedicated Director of Pet Relations on staff. Every Kimpton hotel in the United States welcomes animals with open arms, and they’re ready to pamper them too! There is no extra charge to bring pets, no weight or size restrictions, and no limit on the number of pets you can bring. It’s no wonder that this luxury hotel has been rated the “#1 Hotel in Texas” by Condé Nast Traveler and consistently received rave reviews for service.

Great hotels care about the details. At the Kimpton Van Zandt in Austin, the pet-friendly atmosphere includes lots of great extras like loaner pet-beds, bowls, and mats. A dedicated door hanger is available to let guests and staff know that a pet is in the room. There’s even a special concierge list of nearby pet-friendly restaurants, parks, and groomers.
